Throughout her career Kate has always been drawn to how people’s story impact their life. Kate has worked in various settings such as community mental health centers, the medical field, and with hospice care. Kate has experience working with the LGBT community, youth, adults and older adults providing individual counseling.

Kate specializes in individuals grappling with loss, complicated grief, and challenging life transitions. Her intention is to help you process the heavy and complex emotions in order to move forward and glean insight into your life. Other focus areas include: anxiety, depression, coping with chronic illness, caregiver burnout and end of life concerns.

Kate utilizes a trauma informed framework and treatment models such as EMDR, Attachment Theory, Somatic experiencing (SE), acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and narrative therapy. Kate’s treatment style is collaborative and helps identify thinking, behavioral, or emotional patterns that contribute to distress and works towards establishing resilience & adaptive coping skills that aid in navigating life stressors as well as enhances overall well-being.
